ESOS (Energy Savings Opportunity Scheme) is a new regulation that requires businesses over a certain size to carry out a full and in depth energy efficiency survey.
Failure to do so before the 5th December 2015 carries a £50,000 fine and £500 per day fine until the report is done. A typical report can take over a month to complete.
This survey can only be signed off by a certified ESOS lead assessor and there are only a few hundred in the country, compared to over 14,000 businesses that need their services.
The rules for qualification are not simple, if you have ever employed 250 people in the last few years (including agency and temporary staff), or had a turnover exceeding £38m, then contact us and we will carry out a free qualification audit, to see if you are required by law to have an ESOS assessment.
